Shenshen and her classmates find some information about Saihanba on the internet, and they take some notes.
Saihanba is a big forest (森林) park in Hebei. It is about 400 km (公里) away from Beijing.
Long ago, emperors (皇帝) liked to hunt (打猎) in Saihanba. But later, there were fires and people cut down many trees. It became a desert (沙漠).
In the 1960s, some workers went to Saihanba and planted trees there. It was cold and dry, but the workers worked hard. Many years later, Saihanba became green again.
Now it is the biggest man-made (人造的) forest in the world. There are a lot of trees there. They help give clean air and water to Beijing.
