of the bad effects of playing games too much.

A.aware
B.proud
C.tired

答案

23.A

解析

【分析】这是一道英语词义辨析题,解题思路为:先理解句子含义“我们必须______玩太多游戏的坏影响”,再分析各选项的固定搭配与语义,选出符合语境的选项。回忆各选项的常用搭配:A项aware对应固定搭配be aware of(意识到);B项proud对应be proud of(为……骄傲);C项tired对应be tired of(厌倦),结合句意需表达“意识到”的含义,据此筛选答案。

答案

26.A

解析

四、阅读理解
第一节 阅读下面短文,根据短文内容,从题中所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。
In recent years, more and more people have attended many virtual (模拟的) meetings. Some research shows that such meetings may not have a negative influence on work efficiency (效率). But a new study has shown that the actual result is quite different from people’s expectation.
In this study, 602 participants (参与者) were paired and asked to think of creative ways to use a certain product. They were also divided into two groups: one group worked together face to face, while the other worked virtually. The result showed that the virtual pairs came up with much fewer creative ideas compared with the face-to-face groups.
“We ran this experiment based on feedback (反馈) from companies where it was harder to make remote (远程的) workers work creatively,” said Melanie Brucks, the lead researcher of the study. “Different from other kinds of virtual communication, like phone calls or e-mails, video conference (会议) copies the face-to-face experience quite well, so I was surprised when we found meaningful differences between face-to-face and video conference for forming new ideas.”
During the experiment, different objects were placed in both the virtual rooms and the physical rooms. It was found that the virtual pairs spent more time looking straight at each other instead of paying attention to the whole environment on the screen. In fact, observing the whole environment and noticing different objects can make our brains more active. However, on video conference platforms, the screen easily attracts our attention, making us look at the person on the screen. “Looking away from the screen might seem impolite,” Brucks explained, “so we have to keep looking at it. This is just like when we talk to someone in person, we won’t walk to another room suddenly.”
Therefore, even though video conference has some advantages, such as helping people communicate easily and saving time and money, it actually limits people’s creativity in some way.
