It is windy but warm today. Our class took the train to Chinatown. We learned Chinese for a few months. Our teacher said this excursion would let us practise our language skills and learn more about Chinese
culture.
We entered Chinatown through the arched entrance gate with red painted wooden pillars. Big stone lions sat on each side. Then I noticed that the street signs were written in both Chinese and English. The next place we visited was the Chinese Garden of Friendship which was very peaceful. There were waterfalls, hidden stone paths and a beautiful teahouse. We had a wonderful time there.
At last, it was time for lunch. We entered a big restaurant that had red lanterns hanging from the roof and red Chinese dragons on the walls. The waiters greeted us in Chinese and we answered them in Chinese, too. We were shown how to use chopsticks and how to choose from the menus with Chinese characters.
At 2:30 we left Chinatown. We were all very tired. On the train, our teacher told us her experience in China. Last month, she was back from seeing the Great Wall of China. We were told it's like a long dragon winding its way and it is the longest wall in the world. As we were listening, one of my classmates fell asleep because he was too tired. His face turned red when he woke up!
Now, there are more and more people studying Chinese. I can understand why — it's a fascinating language, and there are always new words to be discovered. I won't forget this wonderful trip to Chinatown!

答案
1.B 2.D 3.D 4.C 5.A
解析
I won't forget this wonderful trip to Chinatown!",结合前文提到全班坐火车去唐人街的出行安排,可推断excursion的含义和trip(旅行)一致,选B。
We entered Chinatown through the arched entrance gate with red painted wooden pillars.
