Jiaozi, also called dumplings, is a kind of traditional Chinese food. It has a history of about 2,600 years. Chinese people like eating dumplings for their delicious taste and special meanings.
There are many kinds of dumplings such as pork and cabbage dumplings, beef and carrot dumplings, and mutton and onion dumplings. Jiaozi is popular with almost all Chinese people, and even people around the world.
Time changes(改变) but the tradition doesn't change. Chinese people think a bowl(碗) of jiaozi is filled with the family's love and good wishes.
On the night before the Spring Festival, all the family members always get together to make dumplings. It's a happy time for them. When people make dumplings, they may put a coin(硬币) in one of them. The person who eats the dumpling with the coin in it will be lucky in the new year.
