Lily lives with her grandma. She loves helping her grandma cook. It is lunch-time and Lily is very hungry.
“Would you like a bowl of tomato and egg noodles?” asks Grandma.
“Yes!” says Lily. Then she gets all the things they need for lunch.
Grandma looks at all the things and says, “I think you forget something.”
As they go into the kitchen, Lily thinks and thinks. What does she forget?
“Is it the tomato? Here is one tomato,” Lily says.
“Thanks,” says Grandma.“But it’s not the thing.”
“It must be the egg,” says Lily and she gives Grandma two eggs.
“Thanks. But they aren’t,” says Grandma.
“The noodles? I don’t forget them,” says Lily, and then she gives Grandma some noodles.
“Thanks. But no. Now the noodles are OK. I ask you again. Would you like a bowl of tomato and egg noodles?” Grandma asks again.
“Yes, please!” says Lily.
“Yes, it’s the magic word ‘please’. It’s the best thing to make delicious food and it’s a good manner,”says Grandma. Lily smiles(微笑).
Then they enjoy the delicious noodles together.
