The 15-minute recess system has become a hot topic across our country. Many schools are exploring the 15-minute recess system and teachers are not allowed to keep teaching longer or stop students from doing activities during breaks. Now, balancing study and rest has become a key problem for students. So, how can students make the most of their breaks?
Students can take many steps to strengthen their bodies and improve their physical(身体的) health. For example, they can stretch their legs, move their shoulders around, jump rope, or play ball games with their classmates during the breaks. These activities are very simple, so they don't take a lot of time. Activities outside the schoolyard are welcome. Taking a short walk is also a good choice. These activities are fun and can help students stay active.
This change brings many benefits to students. It helps them build strong bodies by doing exercise after sitting for a long time. It also makes their immune system stronger and reduces the risk of illness. As for mental(精神的) health, exercise reduces stress from study and makes teenagers feel more active. Many students say they feel much happier and perform better in class after a short break. Teachers also notice that students focus better when they return from recess.
In the future, to help students stay active, both the government and communities should offer more support. The government can spend more money improving sports facilities, like building better basketball courts and fixing up running tracks. Communities can organize sports events for teenagers during holidays. Also, the media can do its part by showing sports-related programmes that encourage students to be more active.
With all these efforts together, I believe students will be able to achieve better physical and mental health and grow up healthily. Besides, they will also study with a positive attitude and face challenges in their studies bravely.
