C
How do you spend your free time? What do you like to do? Here are some of our likes.
My name is Tina. My favorite hobby is to sing. I began to sing songs when I was only 3 years old. Four years later, my mom sent me to the Children's Palace to study music. I won awards one after another in many competitions. I think the best thing in life is sitting in the sunshine, listening to the music and singing along with the singer. Hobbies can make people happy, so we all should have a hobby of our own.
One of my friends—Victor, his hobby is collecting stamps. He has stamps from many countries, such as the UK, Canada and China. On his birthday, can you guess what people always give him? That's right—stamps. Victor's favorite stamps came from France. He had almost all stamps from 1954 to 2004. But he also needed a 1974 special edition. It was very hard to find. He looked for it everywhere. Victor also likes writing. He has a pen friend in France named Phillip. Once Phillip's mother gave him a big, green stamp. It looked old. When Victor received his letter, he was very surprised. On the envelope, he looked at the stamp! It was the 1974 special edition stamp. Victor was so happy.
Another of my friends—Nancy, among all her hobbies, the favorite one is reading. When she was a little girl, she loved reading comic books. When she's getting old, she loves fictions very much. "I have so much fun from reading them. My favorite fiction is *Pride and Prejudice*. It not only provides knowledge, but also teaches us the right attitude toward life. I think reading makes my life complete. I will keep on reading. That's my favorite hobby." Nancy says.
Everybody has his own hobby. Hobbies not only make our lives colorful, but also bring us lots of benefits. Hobbies help us to relax after a long period of hard work, and offer various activities for the people who are retired.
