How's it going? I am very glad to introduce the Dragon Boat Festival to you. The Dragon Boat Festival is on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, usually in June. It is one of the most important traditional Chinese festivals. It has a history of about two thousand years. Chinese people celebrate it to remember the ancient poet (古代诗人) Qu Yuan. On that day, people often get together with their family to eat zongzi and other delicious food. But the zongzi is different in different places. In some parts of the country, people make sweet zongzi. In other parts, they make salty zongzi. In south parts of China, people often have the dragon boat races. Young men take part in the dragon boat races. It is so exciting to watch this activity on TV. Also, we have a 3-day holiday during the festival. So we can have a short trip to relax ourselves. How interesting the Dragon Boat Festival is! I like it very much.
