Before my college entrance exams, a classmate was in a car accident. I gave a statement(证词) to the police. I thought that was the end of it. Years later at a reunion, some classmates told me they heard the driver was looking for me. They secretly formed a “guard team”, taking turns in small groups to follow me home every day after school to make sure I was safe. They joked about how hard it was to follow me without being seen. In college, I struggled with depression. One day, I felt too heavy to walk and lay down in some grass. A girl walking with her boyfriend saw me, came over and asked, “Are you okay?
