Here are some new sports that will appear at the LA 2028 Summer Olympics.
baseball/softball
There are world championships(锦标赛) for both men and women in both sports. But at the Olympics, baseball is a men-only sport while softball is a women-only sport. Baseball became a medal sport in the Olympics in 1992, while softball became a medal sport at the 1996 Summer-Olympics.
flag football
Flag football(腰旗橄榄球) is similar to American football. Each flag football team has five players. In 2028, flag football will be at the Olympics for the first time.
Cricket
Cricket(板球) is a ball game played by two teams, usually of eleven players each. The sport has over 2.5 billion fans around the world. It'll be at the 2028 Olympics for the first time since the 1900 Olympics in Paris.
lacrosse
Lacrosse (长曲棍球) is a team sport, where each team can have six or ten players. At the 2028 Olympics, there will be six players in each team. Lacrosse is not new to the Olympics. It was played at the 1904 and 1908 Olympics.
squash
Squash (壁球)is a sport played in a four-walled court by two players or four for doubles with a rubber ball. Players take turns hitting the ball against the front wall. At the 2028 Olympics, squash is finally an Olympic sport!
