Book Report: The Old Man and the Sea

My favourite book is *The Old Man and the Sea*. It was written in 1952 by the American writer Ernest Hemingway. The book became popular very quickly and won the Pulitzer Prize in 1953.

The main character is an old fisherman who hasn’t caught any fish for months. One day, he hooks a huge marlin and fights it for days. Though he finally kills the fish, sharks eat most of it on his way back, leaving only bones.

This book teaches me never to give up. The fisherman’s courage inspires me a lot. I have read it three times and I still love it. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who loves great stories.
