The story of Ye Xian
导读：同学们，这个单元我们学习了外国童话故事《灰姑娘》。其实在比《格林童话》早近一千年的《酉阳杂俎》里，就有我们自己的“灰姑娘”故事。下面读一读叶限姑娘的故事吧！
Ye Xian was a daughter of a tribal chief(部落首领) during the time before Qin and Han Dynasties. Her mother passed away(去世) when she was little. She was smart and able(有才能的), and her father loved her very much.
After her father died, her stepmother treated her badly(恶劣地). The only friend was a beautiful fish with big golden eyes. Each day the fish came out of the water, and Ye Xian gladly fed it.

Her stepmother heard about the fish. She dressed herself as Ye Xian and tricked the fish from the water. She caught it and cooked the fish for dinner.
Ye Xian was so sad when she knew it. As she sat crying, a wise old man came. He told her the fish bone(骨头) was magic and could help her.
Ye Xian found the bone and hid it in a safe place.
At the Spring Festival, the stepmother and her daughter left for the festival. Ye Xian asked the bone for nice clothes for the festival.
Suddenly she was wearing a beautiful dress. On her feet were beautiful shoes. They were made of gold.
Ye Xian arrived at the festival. Her stepmother moved close to her. Ye Xian ran out of the village and left behind one of the golden shoes.
The lost shoe was given to the King of the island kingdom Tuohan(陀汗国的国王). The King sent his people to look for the owner of this beautiful shoe. But no one would fit in the golden shoe.
One dark night, Ye Xian took the golden shoe and turned to leave, but the King's men rushed out. She was taken to the King. The King knew that she was the one for him. He took her and her fish bone home.
One day, the stepmother and her daughter were hit and died in a shower of flying stones(被一阵飞来的石头砸死).
The King married Ye Xian. But the King became greedy(贪婪的). He prayed to the fish bone and got a lot of jewels(珠宝).
After a year, he asked for jewels again, but got nothing. The fish bone lost its magic. The King buried(埋藏) the fish bone and the jewels by the sea. After one night, the place was buried by the sea tide(潮汐).

叶限知道鱼死了，十分难过。就在她坐着哭泣的时候，一位睿智的老人过来告诉她，鱼骨是有魔力的，能够帮助她。
叶限找到鱼骨，把它藏在一个安全的地方。
春节时，继母和女儿离家去过节。叶限向鱼骨要过节时可以穿的漂亮衣服。
突然，她穿上了一条美丽的裙子，脚上也穿上了漂亮的鞋子。鞋子还是用金子做的。
叶限到了庆典现场，继母靠近她。叶限跑出村庄，落下一只金鞋子。
陀汗国的国王得到了这只落下的鞋子。他派人去寻找这只漂亮鞋子的主人，但是没有人的脚适合这只金鞋。
一个黑夜里，叶限找到这只金鞋，转身就要离开。但国王的人冲了出来。她被带到国王那里。国王对她一见钟情，于是把她和她的鱼骨带回了家。
一天，继母和女儿被一阵飞来的石头砸死。
国王与叶限结了婚。他却变得贪婪起来。他向鱼骨许愿，得到了无数的珠宝。
一年之后，他又去求取珠宝，但什么也没得到。鱼骨失去了魔力。国王把鱼骨和珠宝埋葬在海边。一夜之后，这个地方就被潮汐淹没了。
