The sunflower and the rose
In a garden full of many different flowers, a sunflower and a rose often argue. The sunflower says proudly, "I'm tall with bright yellow petals. I'm the best in the garden." The rose doesn't agree and argues, "Look at my beautiful flower. Bees and butterflies all love me. I'm the best one!" They both want to show they are better than the other.
One sunny morning, a wise bird is walking in the garden and hears the argument between the sunflower and the rose. It stops and speaks to them, "Differences should be celebrated. Each of you brings unique beauty to this place. Why don't you find something nice in each other instead of trying to be the best?"
Taking the bird's advice, the sunflower and the rose start to admire each other. The sunflower enjoys the rose's sweet smell and delicate beauty. The rose admires the sunflower's strong stem and big size.
Over time, they accept their differences and become friends. Visitors to the garden enjoy both the bright sunflower and the delicate rose.
