People often say, “Dogs are man's best friend.” But cat lovers would say no. More and more people love cats in China. So, how do they win people's hearts?
What do cats say?
British Shorthairs: Meow! We're easy to take care of. We like to play by ourselves(我们自己), so we are great if you're busy. Small homes are OK because we don't need a lot of space(空间).
Chinese Native Cats: Meow! We're cheaper! We eat less. We don't need many toys. Sometimes, we can play with a ball for hours or sleep in a box. We clean ourselves, so you don't need to spend money taking us to the pet shop.
Persian Cats: Meow! We're quieter. Dogs are noisy. This can bother(打扰) others. We meow when we want food, when we're saying hello, or when we're exploring(探索).
Picky eaters
Cats usually eat pet food at home. In the wild, cats are carnivores(食肉动物). They only eat meat. Cats need five times more protein(蛋白质) than dogs.
