Welcome to School Around the World! Today, let's learn about shop classes. Many American high schools have shop classes.
Shop classes teach many interesting subjects like woodwork, cooking, car studying, sewing(缝纫) and taking photos. Let's go and take a look at some shop classes in Sunnyhill Middle School, New York, USA.
Here in the woodwork class, students are making things with wood, so it's very noisy. Two students are cutting wood to make a table. Three boys in the center of the classroom are making a beautiful chair.
Let's go to the cooking class. Today students are learning to make noodles. Over there two girls are frying(炒) tomatoes and beef. They smell delicious!
In the car studying class, the students are learning about cars. They are taking apart(拆卸) a car and then putting the parts back together. The teacher is walking around the class, looking at the students' work and talking with them about it. Students can learn something useful in life.
It seems that all the students are having fun in their shop classes and they are learning a lot.
