Tom is ten years old, and he is a lazy boy. He doesn't
like any work.
He has to go to school, but he doesn't study hard.
His father and mother are doctors and they hope Tom
can be a doctor too.

But one day Tom says to his
mother, "When I finish school, I
want to be a cleaner."
"A cleaner?" his mother is
surprised. "That's not a very
pleasant job. Why do you want
to be a cleaner?"
"Because I only have to work one day a week," Tom
says.
His mother says, "What do you mean?"
"Well," Tom says, "the cleaner only comes to our house
on Thursday, so he works one day a week."
