2025年名师面对面学科素养评价八年级英语上册外研版第48页答案
B
Dear Mum and Dad,
I know you are wondering why I wrote to you. The fact is that I'm not happy with some of our family rules. After all, I'm not a child anymore. I'm 14. I'm a teenager now. Anyway, I don't know how to "talk to" you, so please "hear me out".
First, can I spend more time with my friends on Saturday nights? Every time we decide to watch a two-hour movie after six o'clock, I have to explain that I won't make it home on time if I join them. They often call me a "killjoy(使人扫兴的人)", and I am so embarrassed(尴尬的). So, can I stay out a little later on Saturday nights?
Second, can I have more allowance? I plan to take tennis lessons this summer, but all my money has gone to snacks, drinks, books, music and video games. I think I can take on more chores around the house: I can cook, clean the toilet and even look after my baby brother. If I have more allowance, I promise(承诺) not to spend any on sweets or expensive toys.
Last but not least, could you please not use the word GROUND(罚不准出门) in front of my friends? I don't mind being grounded for a week or a month, just no this word when my friends are with us. It hurts my feelings.
Love,
Johnny
