For us children, staying safe is one of the most important things. But how can we stay safe? Let's have a look.
Making food is fun, but it's important to know how to use the kitchen safely. Don't try to use the fire or the knife. Get help from your parents when using a gas stove(煤气灶).
—Ross
It's more interesting and safer to walk to school or go to the store with friends. Never talk to strangers when you walk alone on the street. If a stranger offers you a ride, don't get in his/her car and leave quickly or shout for help.
—Linda
Making friends online can be wonderful, but it also comes with risks. Those friends are not the same as real friends. So never tell them where you live or your phone number. When you're not sure if you should share something, ask your parents.
—Tommy
Playing in a pool can be enjoyable during the summer holiday, but drowning（溺水）is really dangerous. It happens quite often. So always have an adult watching you when you are in the pool. If you're just learning to swim, don't go to the deep area. Don't eat while you swim. Don't run in the pool area.
