The Amazon rainforest is home to thousands of amazing plants. Big trees grow very tall here. Their leaves form a green roof called the "canopy"(树冠层). Under this canopy, smaller plants live in the shade.
Some plants climb up trees to reach sunlight. These are called vines(藤蔓). One special vine is the rubber tree. People get rubber from it. Another interesting plant is the water lily. Its leaves are like big round plates. They can even hold a small child!
