An Unforgettable Lesson
I will always remember an English lesson in Grade Eight. When I was asked to give a speech about my hobby, I felt so nervous that my face turned red and I couldn’t say a word. Then my English teacher, Miss Li, walked to me and smiled, saying, “Take it easy. I believe you can do it.” After that, she encouraged me to start with a simple sentence. Finally, I finished the speech with her help, and all my classmates clapped for me. I think that lesson taught me to be brave and confident. It also made me realize that teachers’ encouragement is like a light that helps us overcome difficulties.
