Cabrel Domche comes from Cameroon, Africa. He won the Chinese Bridge 1 (compete) for middle school students in Cameroon at 16. This helped him get a scholarship(奖学金) to study in China from 2017 to 2023. After 2 (graduate), he works for a Chinese telecom company in Beijing now.
Before 3 (arrive), he was crazy about Chinese kung fu films and thought that all Chinese people practiced it. 4 he soon learned that China is much more than kung fu.He saw a country that is modernizing(现代化) quickly 5 new technology, good roads and clean cities.
Domche noticed how China uses technology to develop. For example, people pay the bill through Alipay or WeChat and there are self-driving cars and AI everywhere. He admired China’s subway systems and highways. They make life 6 (easy) for people. And he said that DeepSeek, a recent Chinese AI App, is a great example of China’s technological progress.
Domche thinks China’s progress is not just about technology. He saw how China 7 (balance) modern life with its traditions. He visited a city 8 (know) for ceramics(陶瓷工艺). “I was moved by how much respect people have for artisans and their craft. The 9 (protect) of Feiyi (intangible cultural heritage) shows Chinese people’s love for their own long history and rich culture,” he said.
“My journey in China has been eye-opening. I hope to bring some of the 10 (lesson) I have learned back home to help my country develop,” said Domche.
