任务二 阅读理解
Can dogs dream? If they can, what do they dream about then?
Dr Deirdre Barritt, a psychologist, believes that she has found the secret of what dogs
dream about. She thinks dogs dream about their owners. She said, "Humans dream about
the same things they're interested in by day. There's no reason to think animals are any
different. Dogs usually like their human owners, so it's possible that your dog is dreaming
of your face, your smell and of having fun with you." She even advised pet owners to give
their pets "happy daytime experiences" to make sure they have nice dreams.
Dr Barritt said that there is no way of knowing for sure what dogs see when they
dream. Research hasn't even discovered that mystery with human dreams. Her ideas are
based on(基于) the fact that dogs and some other mammals(哺乳动物) have a sleep
cycle that is similar to the human cycles. She said, "That certainly makes it the best
guess that other mammals are dreaming too." Dr Barritt also explained why dogs move
their legs as if they're "running" in their sleep. "They are probably acting out their
dreams," she said.

解析
1. 细节理解题。定位到文章第二段,根据“Dogs usually like their human owners, so it's possible that your dog is dreaming of your face, your smell and of having fun with you.”可知,狗喜欢主人所以会梦到主人,故选A。
2. 推理判断题。根据第二段最后“She even advised pet owners to give their pets 'happy daytime experiences' to make sure they have nice dreams.”可推断出,开心的白天经历可能帮助狗拥有美好的梦境;A选项与第三段“there is no way of knowing for sure what dogs see when they dream”不符;B选项与“Research hasn't even discovered that mystery with human dreams”不符;D选项中“All mammals”与原文“dogs and some other mammals”不符,故选C。
