Umbrellas keep the rain off us, but it takes a long time to dry them after a heavy rain.
The new invention—umbrella dries after a quick shake. The umbrella is made to drive away water droplets. So they don't fall on you or the floor. The idea came from the way water falls off the leaves of a lotus plant.||
|Loving Dinosaur
Pleo, a baby dinosaur toy, is more like a real one. Pleo has more than 30 touch, sound, and light sensors. He looks like a real one-week-old baby dinosaur.
Pleo can feel happy, sad or angry. When Pleo is tired, he becomes sleepy. Pleos can remember one another. But you have to be careful. They could pass colds to each other because Pleo even sneezes!||

The first band-aid was made by American Earle Dickson in 1921.
The idea came to him by chance. Dickson's wife Josephine often cut her fingers in the kitchen.
At the time gauze and adhesive tape didn't come together. People had to cut them to the right size. Dickson found these bandages were always too big and soon fell off. So he put a piece of gauze on the centre of a piece of tape.
This is how he made the first band-aid.||
