Freddie woke up to find that it was snowing. The snow covered the roads, cars and houses. After breakfast, Mum told Freddie to go outside to play. Freddie wasn’t happy about it. He didn’t like the cold or the snow. He wanted to stay inside and play on his computer instead.
“You can play on your computer later. It’s good to get some fresh air. I’m sure you’ll have a good time outside. ” said Mum, handing Freddie a scarf, a hat and gloves. Finally, Freddie put on the warm clothes and headed outside.

A few moments later, Freddie saw his classmate, Dion, emerge from his father’s car. He was surprised to see him. Usually, they just took the bus to school together. Dion joined Freddie in building the snowman. They finished it quickly.
As they stepped back to look at their work, a snowball hit(击中)Freddie’s back. He turned around and another one hit his arm, Colin was standing in front of his house on the other side of the street, smiling. He threw another snowball, hitting Dion in the leg this time.
“Hey! ” Dion shouted. He quickly made a snowball and threw it at Colin. The three boys shouted and laughed as snowballs flew in all directions.
“You were right, Mum. I really enjoyed myself this morning. ” Freddie said when he went back home.
