The 15th National Games of China opened on November 9th and came to a successful close on the evening of November 21st, 2025. It was an important moment in the country's sports history. This big sports event was held together by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.
The opening show was held at the Guangdong Olympic Sports Centre in Guangzhou. Another new idea was the torch（火炬）design. The fire came from special ice that can burn, which was the first time in sports history. The torch was made from old materials that were used again.
The Games themselves were a huge success. They had 34 big sports with 419 single events. What was special this time was that 19 cities in the three regions were host cities. This was the largest number ever in the Games' history. This also let more people see and feel the excitement of the Games. During the Games, athletes set amazing new records, including 8 world records, 5 world youth records, and 13 Asian records.
The 15th National Games showed not only athletes' very good sports skills but also China's promise to take care of the environment and for different areas to cooperate.
