To save our planet, and to save ourselves, a new lifestyle called low-carbon life becomes popular. Low-carbon means low energy and no waste. It is necessary for everybody to learn to live a low-carbon life.$
2 To live a low-carbon life, we’d better save energy as possible. Turn off the lights and TV whenever they are not needed. Turn up temperature of the air conditioner to over 26℃ in summer.
3 To live a low-carbon life, we should mind our ways of travelling. It is good to make use of public transportation rather than private cars. For example, go to school by subway or by bus. Riding bicycles and walk are also environmentally friendly. If we need to buy cars, choose New Energy Vehicles instead of petrol cars.
4 To live a low-carbon life, we are supposed to reduce waste. Disposable (一次性的) products like plastic bags and paper cups are often thrown away shortly after use. We can replace them by using reusable (可重复使用的) shopping bags and water bottles. When buying goods, choose products with simple packaging. Food waste is also an important source of trash. We can reduce food waste by planning meals wisely and storing food properly.
5 There are many other ways to live a low-carbon life. If we can make it a habit in our daily life, the Earth will become a safer planet for us to live on.
