Outdoor Classes Give Children a Feel for Nature
It is late autumn at the Tianxingzhou Country Park in Wuhan, and many migratory birds are visiting here. A group of primary school students are taking part in a bird-watching event. Bird-watching is one of the activities offered by the program “Park Classes”. The program encourages environmental protection(环保) among students, developing their ability to explore and take action.
Students in primary and middle schools now have at least one course every week to learn basic household skills. Schools should use different ways to help parents realize the importance of labour education and help parents make household lists to improve students’ independence(独立性).

Wu,an English professor,said instead of simply learning a language,the purpose of English learning and teaching currently is to help students tell China's stories to the world. “While in the past, Chinese people learned English to know about the West,nowadays we learn the language to help the world better understand China,” she said.
