Last weekend, my family and I went to Guilin. It is a famous tourist city in Guangxi. We were really excited about our trip. But later we learnt that the weather can greatly change how we feel.
On Saturday morning, it was foggy. The famous mountains and rivers were not clear. I felt a little sad because I wanted to enjoy the nice views. However, my sister took many photos. She thought the foggy scenery was special. My dad told us to enjoy this different kind of beauty. Then we took a boat along the Lijiang River. It was quiet and comfortable.
At noon, the fog went away and the sun came out. The mountains looked bright and green. I became happy again.
On Sunday morning, it rained heavily. At first, we couldn't climb the mountain. So we waited in the hotel and talked happily together. When the rain stopped, the air was fresh and cool. We started to climb the mountain. The trees were greener and the flowers looked more colourful. I was tired but very excited. When we got to the top, the view was amazing.
This trip taught me a good lesson. Weather can change our feelings easily.
Good weather brings joy, but even on bad weather days, we can still find beauty and happiness in life.
