With parents who do everything for them, today’s youth seem to prefer to live like teenagers 5 when they are in their 20s or 30s.

The fact is that many of today’s teenagers are used to working with powerful digital tools that allow them to work on their own as well as team up with others. 7 , because they could learn about people and cultures around the globe from an early age, they developed a greater understanding of diversity(多样性) and the importance of finding their own identities(身份). When facing difficulties, they are the first to step forward and seem to be more 8 to become leaders. More young people than ever volunteer to help their 9 , taking part in activities like the elderly care, neighbourhood clean-up, first aid and safety training. There are also brave young people such as Malala Yousafzai, the teenager who won the Nobel Peace Prize for pushing girls’ rights to go to school.
