10 years old and has autism (自闭症). We grow up together. I skip rope; he can't. He spins himself in circles (转圈) for minutes without falling; I can't. I read stories; he can't. He remembers every number he hears; I can't. Charles is special, but he brings so much joy to us.
One of my favourite moments with Charles is when we play Rock Paper Scissors. He often chooses Rock, but sometimes he surprises us with Paper or Scissors. That makes everyone in the family laugh.
Charles is right just the way he is. He doesn't need to be like anyone else, and I think that's what makes his life different but still wonderful! Life is more colourful when we are all unique. Enjoy being yourself!
