I'm Jessica. I arrived in Beijing this morning with my parents. It was sunny and hot. We went to Tian'anmen Square. We took some photos there.
Then we went into the Palace Museum. It was also known as the Forbidden City. I saw many old buildings. Red and yellow were used on the palace walls. I really enjoyed walking around the museum.
For lunch, we had something very special. I ate Beijing Roast Duck in Quanjude Roast Duck Restaurant. I ate a lot. It was delicious.
In the afternoon, we took a subway to the Summer Palace. It was a nice place. There were many beautiful lotus on the lake. We went boating. That was so exciting.
In the evening, we went to the theatre to watch Beijing Opera. It was so interesting.
It was a busy day. I felt a little tired, but excited. We had a lot of fun. I bought gifts for my friend, Anna. I hope she'll like it.
