C
Wearing my white coat, I look just like any other doctor. That is until I put on my curly rainbow wig and big red nose.

I walk into the waiting area. A small girl’s ankle (脚踝) is twice its normal size. The nurse tells me Lara’s parents rushed her to the hospital after she fell off her bicycle. Since getting here, Lara has spent her time crying in pain. Although it’s the doctors and nurses who will treat her injury, it’s my job to make her feel better.
Scientific studies show that laughter produces chemicals (化学物质) to make people feel better, which means clown doctors can be helpful. We are specially trained clowns and work as part of a programme called “hospital clowning”. I chose this career because of my experience of going to hospital when I was a kid. I always felt scared and more than a little bored! Being a clown doctor means I can help people by making them happy.
We clown doctors work closely with doctors and nurses, who give us information about each patient. We cheer up patients, their family, and the hospital staff, too! We do this by doing magic tricks, singing songs, telling stories and, of course, telling silly jokes.
And my “magic medicine” seems to do the trick. While the doctor is checking Lara’s ankle, I get her attention with a magic trick. Her scared look is slowly replaced by a smile, and then by loud laughter, when I “magically” pull her sock from my pocket. Seeing her so much happier in turn makes her parents relax.
And as for me? Well, when I take off my wig and my red nose, I’m still wearing a big smile, as I remember all the fun and laughter of the day. After all, it really is true that “laughter is the best medicine”.

解析

3. 第25题:询问作者一天工作后的感受,定位到最后一段,文中提到“when I take off my wig and my red nose, I’m still wearing a big smile, as I remember all the fun and laughter of the day.”,从“big smile”和“fun and laughter”能看出作者开心且满足,对应选项A。
23. 根据原文第四段“We cheer up patients, their family, and the hospital staff, too!”以及第二段“Although it’s the doctors and nurses who will treat her injury, it’s my job to make her feel better.”
25. 根据最后一段“when I take off my wig and my red nose, I’m still wearing a big smile, as I remember all the fun and laughter of the day.”
