Two goats
Two goats live on different sides of a river. One is black and the other is white. The river is deep and wide (宽阔的). There is a bridge (桥) over the river but it is very narrow (狭窄的). Only one goat can cross it at a time.
One day, the white goat wants to go to the other side of the river to see his grandma. The black goat also wants to go to the other side of the river. He wants to eat the grass there.
The two goats get on the bridge and meet in the middle (中部). They both have to stop. The bridge is too narrow. They cannot cross it at the same time (同时). One of them must turn back (返回) and let the other go first, but both goats want to be the first to cross the bridge. They begin to argue (吵架) loudly and angrily. Then, they start to fight. Suddenly (突然), they both fall into the river.
