Walden is a quiet small town in England. Cars can’t go into the centre of the town, so it is very pleasant to walk around.
Spend at least half a day visiting the museum. It’s on a hill outside the town in an old building. The museum brings history to life. You can even ride on a horse and cart on the street. I was really interested in a living room of the museum in the 1950s. It was just like my grandmother’s house. I lived there when I was a child.
If you can wait, there is a new exhibition opening soon. Walden is famous for one thing—candy! If you like candy, this exhibition is for you. You can learn about its history. I have never seen so many different kinds of candies. But I won’t go now because it will start on 26 May.
When you are there, have a look around Walden too. If you start from the main square and follow the green signs, they will take you to the museum, and you will see lots of other interesting things on the way too.
Welcome to Walden!
