Do you do chores at home?
导读:你在家有做家务的好习惯吗?读一读下面的调查,了解不同地区的孩子做家务的情况。和同伴们分享做家务的好处,并养成做家务的好习惯。
Do teenagers in small villages do chores at home? How about the teenagers in big cities? We made a survey last month.
We asked 4,000 teenagers in China some questions. Half of them come from big cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. The others are from small villages.
We find out that teenagers in small villages do more chores than those in big cities. And teenagers in big cities have more after-school activities to do.

Parents should give their children some chores to do. Doing chores teaches teenagers to take care of themselves.

In many other countries, older children and teenagers also do some chores at home. They may do their assigned chores every day, or take turns with their brothers or sisters to do the chores. For example, in the UK, children help their parents with chores. By the age of six, children will help with simple chores like tidying up their own rooms, setting or clearing the dinner table, and emptying the trash. By the age of ten, children may help with laundry, or even help to prepare meals.
