One day, Bear feels a little hungry. So he goes outside and looks for some food. He spots(发现) the top of a sweet potato in his garden. "This will make a delicious sweet potato pie," Bear says to himself. He bends down and tugs(拔). But the sweet potato doesn't budge(挪动).
Just then, Fox is walking by. Bear calls out to him, "Mr Fox, please come and help me!" Fox and Bear tug together. But the sweet potato still doesn't budge. Then Deer walks by. Bear and Fox call out to her, "Miss Deer, please help us!" Deer, Fox and Bear tug again. But the sweet potato still doesn't budge! A few minutes later, Raccoon and Owl are passing by. Deer, Fox, and Bear call out to them, "Raccoon and Owl, could you please give us a hand?" Then Raccoon, Owl, Deer, Fox, and Bear tug together. This time, the sweet potato starts to move.
"Keep tugging!" shouts Bear excitedly. Everyone keeps tugging till ... POP! The biggest sweet potato ever flies out of the ground. "Hooray!" say all the friends.
Everyone helps carry the enormous sweet potato to Bear's house. There, Bear bakes(烤) a supersize sweet potato pie to share with his helpful friends.
