In the very cold places such as Antarctica, the weather is extremely cold. There is thick ice and snow everywhere. Scientists and researchers are brave enough to face the tough conditions to do important studies about the Earth's climate. They use special tools to measure how thick the ice is and watch how penguins and seals act.
In some countries around the Mediterranean Sea like Italy and Spain, the summers are usually hot and dry. People have a good time going to the beaches. They lie in the sun and swim in the clear blue sea. They also take part in outdoor festivals. At these festivals, they can eat delicious local food and listening to lively music.
In the places with monsoon(季风) like India, during the monsoon season, there is a lot of rain. People may stay inside their houses and do things like cooking traditional food, reading books, or watching movies. But when the rain stops for a while, children run out to play in the puddles and fly kites.
