Good Deeds Day is an international day of volunteering. Beginning in 2007, it is started to unite people from around the world in doing good deeds for others and the planet. Here are some activities you can try on that day to take part in doing good.
Pay the bill for someone else
People stand in line for coffee or ice cream. It is a good chance to show your kindness by paying the bill for the person behind you. He or she will thank you for doing that.
Give your hair to Locks of Love
Locks of Love is a place that makes wigs. Some children lose their hair because they are ill. Wigs will be the best gift to help them be happy again.
Plant a garden
Start a garden for Good Deeds Day if you love to garden. You can plant a garden anywhere like at your school, in a library or even in a hospital. It is a great way to plant fresh vegetables and fruit for people in need.
Help at an animal shelter
Animal shelters help look after street animals. If you have time, you can go there to walk the dogs or play with the animals. You can also bring pet food to the animal shelter.
