The Spirit of Sports
Sports are more than just games. They teach us important lessons about courage, teamwork, and never giving up. I once had an experience that made me truly understand the spirit of sports.

Last year, I took part in the 1000-meter race at the school sports meeting. I ran very fast at first, but soon I felt so tired that my legs almost couldn't move, and I even fell to the ground with a slight hurt on my knee. I almost wanted to give up at that moment.
Just then, all my classmates on the playground shouted my name loudly and cheered for me. Their eyes were full of trust. I told myself I could not let them down, so I stood up and kept running step by step towards the finish line.
I didn't win any prize in the end, but all my friends hugged me warmly. From this experience, I finally understand that the spirit of sports is never about getting the first place. It is the courage to keep moving forward even when you are in great difficulty, and the warm support from your friends that makes you become a stronger person.
