Hello! I'm Nicola. Do you know where I am now? I'm spending my summer vacation in Zhangjiajie. I'm having a wonderful time here with my family. Zhangjiajie is in Hunan, China. It's famous for its mountains, forests and rivers.
Yesterday afternoon, we visited Yuntiandu Glass Bridge (玻璃桥). It's the longest and highest glass bridge in the world! Walking on it was a little scary but quite fun. We could see the green trees below. We camped by a small lake in the evening. During the night, we heard a noise. It woke everybody up. We thought someone was
moving about. But my father said it was an animal. We came out without making any noise, and found it was just a hungry monkey looking for food.
This morning, we climbed Mount Tianzi. From the top we hoped to see the lakes and forests. But it was a pity (遗憾) that it was cloudy. We could only see the mountain tops above the clouds. Then we walked down the road along a river. There were many trees and flowers. I picked a lovely flower, but my mother said that it was wrong to pick flowers. I was very apologetic for doing that.
Tomorrow we're going to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. I'm looking forward to the visit.
