Fred: I watched the first part of it, but a little boy who was standing behind me could not see, so I gave my place to him.
Mother: You were a nice boy to give up seeing the parade.
Fred: Though I gave him my place, I could still see flags waving in the wind. Mother, I wish I had one.
Mother: You may have one if you earn it.
Fred: Oh! I shall try. Is there any way I can help you first, Mother?
Mother: That’s my boy! How about taking the baby over to Grandmother’s for a little while?
Fred: All right.
