I'm Marie Kondo and I love tidying up. When I was young, I spent a lot of time cleaning my room. I didn't know it then, but this interest would become my career(事业) and the idea behind the KonMari Method. 1One day, I decided to tidy up, but this time I did something different. I only kept the things that made me feel happy and joyful. This new way of thinking changed everything. I started with my clothes. I held each piece and asked myself the same question, "Does it make me happy?" 2This process(步骤) was amazing.
I gathered my ideas as the KonMari Method and wrote a book called The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up. With this book, I want to share my ideas on tidying up with you. First, make a plan and think about the kind of life you want. 3Don't move from room to room. You can start with clothes, then books, papers, small items and finally, things with memories. Remember to only keep the things that make you feel happy. As for those you don't feel happy about, be grateful. 4
