There is a boy named Dan. He is careless and always makes mistakes (错误). One day Mr. Tim is painting his house. When Dan sees it, he is curious. “Why are you getting your house painted, Mr. Tim?” asks Dan. “Because I want to make my house look beautiful.” says Mr. Tim.
A few days go by, Mr. Tim has to do something important. He asks Dan to dress up his daughter. “I want her to look beautiful.” Mr. Tim smiles. Dan just goes and paints on the little girl’s face, because Mr. Tim says paint makes the house beautiful. This makes Mr. Tim very angry.
Another day comes, Mr. Tim asks Dan to post (邮寄) some letters. Dan goes off early in the morning, but comes back in the evening with the letters still in his hand. Mr. Tim is very confused, and asks Dan why he still has the letters. “When I go to the letter box, it is locked (锁住的). I keep trying and trying to open it but I can not.” says Dan.
A few days later, Dan wants to take a shower (淋浴). So Mr. Tim gives him a bottle of shampoo. But Dan takes a bottle of glue (胶水) by mistake. When Dan comes out of the shower and looks at his hair in the mirror, he begins to cry. It is at that time that Dan decides (决定) to change himself. “I promise I will be careful in the future.” says Dan. Mr. Tim feels so glad to hear that.
