During the summer holiday, I was lucky enough to go to Chile in South America along with some of my classmates. We stayed with Chilean families there. While we were there, we visited many parts of the country, including the Atacama Desert and Chile's capital city, Santiago.
My trip to the Atacama Desert was an unforgettable experience. Not only did I see some fantastic sights, but I was also able to experience some special things there. For example, I swam in a lake there. Its salty water can help you swim more easily. Besides, I ate in a special restaurant. It's 3,300 meters high. And I climbed a mountain to see some paintings. They were created over 4,000 years ago.
I will never forget the beauty when I watched the sights on top of the Purple Mountains. I also went on a trip to Santiago. It was very different from London because the buildings in London usually look more modern. However, the president's house, called La Moneda, was old but very beautiful. When I got to the top, I enjoyed a great sight of the whole city.
