Canada has more doughnut(甜甜圈) shops per person than any other country in the world! Why do they love doughnuts so much? It could be because of a man named Tim Horton.

Tim Horton's real name was Miles Gilbert Horton. He was born in 1930. He loved hockey and played for the Toronto Maple Leafs for 17 years, helping the team win the Stanley Cup four times.
In 1963, Tim decided to open a doughnut shop in Hamilton, Ontario. One year later, Tim invited a talented businessman, who used to be a police officer, to take over the running of the doughnut shop. Soon many cities in Canada had "Tim Hortons" shops. Why did Tim let another person take over his company? Well, Tim was still very busy playing hockey!
Soon after, Tim began to play for the New York Rangers, and later the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Buffalo Sabres. At the same time, his doughnut business was getting bigger and more Canadians were eating doughnuts!
Sadly, Tim Horton died in a car accident in 1974. "Tim Hortons" is now the largest coffee and doughnut chain in Canada. There are more than 3000 shops all across Canada, as well as some in the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
( )23. What kind of person does Tim seem to be according to Paragraph 2?
A. A careless person. B. A talented player. C. A lazy businessman.
( )24. Why did Tim let another person take over his company?

Teenagers often have trouble falling asleep, especially compared with when they were younger. Rapid growth and body changes can mess their body clock. Stress adds to the problem, and late-night phone use can delay(推迟) sleep even more.

Other causes of sleep trouble include health conditions like low iron levels(缺铁). Teens who do not have enough iron may have cramps(抽筋) in their legs. This can wake them up when they're trying to sleep.
Not getting enough sleep can lead to all sorts of problems. Teens might feel unhappy, have low energy, get high blood pressure, have weight problems, get headaches, and have trouble paying attention or remembering things.
Lack(缺乏) of sleep can even affect the part of a teen's brain that helps them make good choices. This might be why teens who don't get enough sleep are more likely to do risky things like fighting.
Good habits help. Daytime exercise and time outside support a healthy sleep schedule. But don't exercise hard close to bedtime.
We all need time to relax at the end of the day to help us sleep well. Do relaxing things in the evening, like reading or listening to soft music.
Eating late can make it harder to sleep well. Try to eat dinner a few hours before bedtime and eat healthy foods that are easy to digest(消化). Also, caffeine(咖啡因) can stay in your body for more than eight hours, so don't drink tea or coffee with caffeine after lunch.
( )27. Why do teenagers have trouble falling asleep according to Paragraph 1?
A. Because schools start much earlier than before.
B. Because they always take long naps in the afternoon.
C. Because rapid growth and body changes push their body clock later.
( )28. Which of the following was NOT mentioned as a result of lack of sleep?
A. Fever. B. Headaches. C. Weight problems.
( )29. What are the last three paragraphs mainly about?
A. Causes of teen sleep problems.
B. Ways to help teens sleep better.
C. The history of research on sleep.
( )30. What can you infer from the passage?
A. Using phones late at night can harm teens' sleep.
B. Every teen who sleeps badly has low iron levels.
C. Hard exercise before bed helps teens sleep better.
