Visualizing
Making pictures in your mind while reading can help you have a better understanding of what is going on in the text.
Activity 1 Read the text and use the picture to help you visualize what you read.

Steps to visualize:
I read: how water turns into clouds.
I see in my mind: some water, the sun and some clouds.
Now, I understand: clouds come from water.
On sunny days, water goes up in the air and turns into clouds in the sky.
Activity 2 Read the text and underline what makes you picture something in your mind.

Do you know the water cycle? Water in the air gets cold, makes clouds and then forms water drops. The drops fall and it rains. Rainwater goes into rivers, lakes and oceans. When it is sunny, water goes up into the sky, forms clouds and then it rains again.

Activity 3 Group work. Read the text in Activity 2 again and tell your partners what you visualize, and then talk about the water cycle.

I see in my mind: cold air, clouds with tiny water drops, falling rain, rivers, lakes, oceans and the bright sun.
Now, I understand: water keeps moving in a cycle between the ground and the sky, and the process repeats all the time.
