Ryan made up his mind to help. He cleaned windows and helped with gardening for family and neighbours. He finally got 70 dollars. But someone told him a real well* cost 2,000 dollars. 70 dollars was far from being enough. However, Ryan didn't give up. He put up posters and called on others to help those children. He raised lots of money from his classmates and neighbours. And his mom's friends also helped his story go public.
After a few months, Ryan got 2,000 dollars. He sent the money to the charity. Soon, a well was built in Uganda, Africa. Ryan was invited to go there, and hundreds of happy students came to welcome him. Ryan felt warm and happy. He knew he really helped those kids.
