A Report on Students' Exercise Habits
Last week, our group did a random survey on sports hobbies and exercise habits among 100 students from different grades of our school. We asked the students two core questions: what their favorite sports are, and how often they take part in physical exercise after class.
From the statistics we sorted out, the most popular sport is jogging, which is loved by 38% of the interviewees. Most students explain that jogging does not require special venues or expensive equipment, and they can easily do it in the school playground or the community near their home to relax after long hours of study. Next comes ball games including basketball and badminton, taking up 32% of the total. As for the exercise frequency, 27% of the students exercise every day, 45% of the students do sports 3 to 4 times a week, while nearly 28% of the students only exercise less than once a week, most of whom are busy with schoolwork in Grade 9 or Grade 12.
In my opinion, most students have realized the importance of regular exercise, but quite a number of them still cannot squeeze enough time for physical activities. It is suggested that our school can arrange more interesting after-school sports clubs, and hold small-level sports games regularly to encourage more students to move their bodies, so that everyone can build a strong body while gaining academic progress.
