Hi, everyone! I'm Simon. I used to have trouble in speaking English. I thought my pronunciation was poor. At the same time, I was too shy to make some friends and afraid of talking to people. To overcome these, I took action.
To improve my spoken English, I started practising in front of the mirror every day. At first, it was difficult and I made many mistakes. Instead of giving up, I kept practising and learning from my mistakes. To fight my fear of talking, I joined the English corner. There I tried my best to talk with people and made some friends.
Now I enjoy the school life more and I can even take part in English competitions. I have become more confident and more outgoing through these efforts. I have learned that by working hard and believing in ourselves, we can grow and improve. Never let fear hold us back.
