Penny came home and she was unhappy. Her mother asked her, "What's wrong, Penny? You look sad." "Today our teacher told us the Earth is dirty. In the street, I saw so much rubbish. What can we do?" Penny said.
"Of course you can do many things. Let me tell you a story," said her mother.
One day, a man walked along a beach. He saw thousands of dying fish on the sand. A boy was throwing a fish into the sea.

"You threw a fish back into the sea. Why did you do that?" asked the man.
"I'm trying to save the fish," said the boy.
"You can't save them all," said the man.
"No," said the boy. "But I may be able to save one or two."
After that, Penny had an idea. The next day, she told her classmates the story of the boy and the fish. "We can do something to protect the Earth. Let's make a big tree and write down what we can do on the leaves(树叶)," Penny said. Then the children made a big nice tree. They were happy.
